๐ŸŒˆ Rainbows Separation and Bereavement Groups ๐ŸŒˆ

Rainbows groups are for children aged over 7 who have been bereaved or whose parents have separated or divorced. Rainbows groups are safe spaces where children can explore their feelings with trained listeners in confidence. The groups support childrenโ€™s coping strategies and help to build their self-esteem and resilience.

We are planning to start a Rainbows group in City Quay N.S. in the next school term.

Ms. Rafter and Ms. McElheron have trained to become Rainbows group facilitators.

Pupils and staff will no longer be required to wear masks, however they are welcome to wear them if they want to do so.

From Monday 7th March City Quay N.S. will open the school at 8:50am and classes will begin at 9:00am.

The entrance at Grant Thornton will close and Junior Infants to 2nd Class and Ms. Kelly’s class will use the main front door. 3rd to 6th Classes will use the stairs entrance.

We are very much looking forward to school celebrations, assemblies and parents’ events in the near future as well.

We will be maintaining all our good cleaning standards and hand hygiene routines. We ask that you continue to keep children with any symptoms of illness at home until they are better.

Thank you so much for your co-operation and support during this time.
