Throughout the year, Junior Infants have taken part in the National College of Ireland's Numeracy Programme.
The project supports early childhood care and education settings and schools to plan and support children’s mathematical learning through play-based activities while linking this to Aistear, the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework and Síolta, The Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education.
It also promotes and supports parental involvement in their child’s development, learning and education by providing a variety of home-based activities for parents.
Junior Infants have enjoyed taking part in this project and being able to share what they have been learning with their parents during a parent and child event!
